Frequently Asked Questions

How would you describe your overall approach to EMDR Supervision and Consultation?

I take a collaborative approach to my supervision and consultation. This is a journey best done as a team.  We begin by assessing your goals, experience and training and develop a consultation plan that fits your needs.  We can also use your on-going practice experience to facilitate the strengthening of the skill sets critical to the EMDR protocols.

Why is Advanced EMDR Training and Certification Important?

Patients coming to treatment today have increasingly complex trauma experiences and symptoms.  It can be very challenging for the newly-trained therapist to differentiate, diagnose and treat the root causes of these conditions without advanced training. I believe it is also important to become certified in order to maintain and strengthen the on-going integrity of the treatment modality.

How many sessions do I need to become Certified or Approved?

You need XX hours of consultation to become certified and XX hours of additional consultation to become approved.  A complete list of frequently asked questions can be found on EMDRIA's website.

How much does each session cost?

Consultation rates vary depending on the client's current level of training and experience and are set after the initial scoping consultation, which is always at no cost.
